As African widows experience financial challenges due to the recent loss of their husbands, the volunteers at African Widow and Orphan Support offer unwavering support with our mini banking and money management services.
Over the years, thousands of widows in Nigeria have had to mourn the loss of their husbands as they are killed in religious and tribal conflicts. This tragedy often leaves them as the primary care-giver in their household. In an effort to help these individuals with their financial transition, our non-profit ministry developed a mini banking and money management training program to help African widows establish financial security.
During their time with us, beneficiaries learn how to manage their finances using effective budgeting techniques. Other topics we cover include: the importance of making good investments, how to establish and grow their savings and how to utilize different banking tools for financial success.
By creating sustainable money management habits, we hope to help our African widows gain financial independence for both themselves and their families.
Our non-profit organization thrives on donations, which are directed toward the widows and orphans we help. If you are able, please make a donation to our cause. Donations can be made by check to AWOS and mailed to: AWOS, c/o Dr. Marvin W Heyboer, 5839 Lyn Haven Dr SE, Kentwood, MI 49512. Any bit helps.
